¡Hola! Últimamente han sido varias las mamás que se han acercado a preguntarme qué está pasando con las validación de estudios que ofrece LAM MX y qué es lo que va a pasar. Por lo que decidí escribir mis percepciones y opinión sobre el tema para poder compartirlo con ustedes.
Como familia educadora en casa, el material que por excelencia hemos usado como libros de texto, la mayor parte de este tiempo, son los libros de LAM México, antes conocidos como “Libros Águila”. Han sido 7 años de usar este material que nos ha parecido súper completo y maravilloso, nos ha tocado ver de primera mano el crecimiento de esta editorial y cómo año tras año fueron mejorando en la calidad de los libros, el desarrollo de sus plataformas, sistemas de estudio, etc. y desde siempre hemos recomendado con mucho ánimo este bello material.
Un buen día, en medio de todo este proceso de crecimiento bajo la dirección de Ángel Olguín y Samuel Calleros, nos dieron la noticia de que habían hecho un convenio con Mati Talent Institute para poder comenzar a ofrecer la certificación de estudios a familias educadoras en casa. Fue increíble, pues en ese momento ya habían muchas familias homeschoolers que usaban los libros de LAM, y el que ahora pudieran acceder a la validez de estudios por parte de una institución estadounidense como MATI, que se reconoce por tener toda su documentación en regla y que está en constante crecimiento, fue una gran noticia, y lo más increíble es que ese convenio permitía ofrecer este servicio extra a un costo muy por debajo de lo que la institución cobra normalmente.
A continuación esto se tradujo en agradecimiento y paz mental en muchas casas, ya que muchas familias no se animaban a educar en casa por temor a lo que podía pasar si necesitaban volver a integrar a sus hijos en una escuela y esta oportunidad permitía intentarlo y tener una preocupación menos.
Esto ha sido así por los últimos años, pero este año LAM México ha enviado un comunicado informando que este año se verán imposibilitados a seguir tramitando el documento de revalidación oficial y que reducirán la oferta de certificación en México.
Esto significa que ya no ofrecerán certificación de Mati Talent Institute a nuevos interesados, solamente a los que culminaron el ciclo escolar 2023-2024 y a quienes de manera temprana adquirieron la certificación para el ciclo 2024-2025 y que deseen continuar sin que LAM tramite directamente la revalidación oficial (este trámite cada papá lo puede hacer por su lado).
En nuestro caso inscribí a mi hijo pequeño en la certificación de LAM para primero de primaria, y por haberlo hecho de manera temprana alcanzamos el servicio este año que apenas comenzará, pero he notado mucha inquietud en mamás y papás que me han preguntado ¿y ahora qué vamos a hacer?
Yo me comuniqué con LAM y me dijeron que no pueden garantizar que los próximos ciclos continúen ofreciendo la certificación y que estarán explorando diversas vías pero que por el momento no tienen un camino establecido.
¿Qué hacer?
Así que les cuento lo que haremos nosotros. Este año vamos a certificar con LAM/MATI pues, como les compartí, sí alcanzamos a tener certificación este año, en lo personal nosotros no vemos la necesidad de estar revalidando estudios cada año, tener la boleta es simplemente un documento que nos da cierta seguridad si por alguna situación, que se salga de nuestro control, tenemos que incorporar a nuestros hijos a una escuela, pero como esto no es algo que tenemos planeado para corto o mediano plazo no revalidamos cada boleta que recibimos.
Después, el próximo año (2025-2026) vamos a inscribir directamente en Mati Talent Institute a mi hijo menor, así como lo hemos hecho desde que mi hijo mayor esta en tercero de primaria. Inscribirlos directamente ahí nos da la oportunidad no solo de certificar sino también de recibir el servicio de la institución, las aplicaciones y sistemas de estudios buenísimos que en nuestro caso ha complementado los estudios con los libros de texto de LAM que por supuesto continuaremos usando.
Mi familia y yo sentimos mucha confianza con la certificación de MATI, ya que desde el principio (tenemos 8 años de conocerlos) siempre han cumplido con todo, los sistemas de aprendizaje son tal como los presentan, las boletas nos llegan sin falta cada año aparte de que estas boletas tienen el plus de que cuentan con respaldo binacional.
Cuando mi hijo mayor terminó sexto grado llevé la boleta a revalidar para tener experiencia en el trámite y a la vez validar su primaria aquí en México y lo pude hacer sin problema, pueden ver el video en el siguiente enlace. VER VIDEO AQUÍ
Y por ultimo el plan de estudios de secundaria de MATI es sumamente completo, (pronto les estaremos compartiendo sobre este tema). También, con todo este tiempo que mi hijo mayor a estado estudiando en esta institución, he podido tener la oportunidad de conocer a Corina Intriago, directora de MATI Talent Institute, quien siempre ha sido cercana a nosotros y siempre me ha mantenido al día en cuanto a las cuestiones legales de la institución.
Ahora, una vez contándoles lo que nosotros haremos como familia, también quiero comentarles que en México también existen otros sistemas de validación que estaría bien que este año puedan comenzar a explorar, pero sobre todo para las familias que planean educar en casa a largo plazo siempre esta el INEA para validar los estudios de sus hijos, en este enlace les comparto la experiencia de una mamá que validó los estudios de primaria y secundaria de sus hijos.
